What are the best Beaches in Southern California for their waves?

I want to go boogie boarding all this summer, what beaches are the best in California for great waves and not extremely crowded. No where in San Diego, it's too far.

2. del mar Ventura county line Santa cruz and trestle San anofree and sunset Redondo beach l.a. All over la jolla
3. Huntington and Doheny are good spots
4. San Onofre if your just learning, San Clemente pier, San Clemente - the access off Linda Lane, or if you're good, go to Huntington Beach.... 6. hey. well im a surfer but i know some good spots to body board too. try newport and hunington beach, and san onofre, laguna, for surf but if you want to body board i suggest the wedge.
