What are the best Beaches in Southern California for their waves?
I want to go boogie boarding all this summer, what beaches are the best in California for great waves and not extremely crowded. No where in San Diego, it's too far.

- Laguna Beach
- del mar Ventura county line Santa cruz and trestle San anofree and sunset Redondo beach l.a. All over la jolla
- Huntington and Doheny are good spots
- San Onofre if your just learning, San Clemente pier, San Clemente - the access off Linda Lane, or if you're good, go to Huntington Beach.... Hit "The Wedge" at Huntington - but don't do it if you're a novice boogie boarder, the break is crazy and it'll hurt you: http://travel2.nytimes.com/2006/06/09/travel/09wedge.html
- Pismo Beach
- hey. well im a surfer but i know some good spots to body board too. try newport and hunington beach, and san onofre, laguna, for surf but if you want to body board i suggest the wedge.
