1. Because this bug is found primarily in sod used to give "instant grass" to new development, it is more widespread than in years past. I live in coastal NC within an hour of the SC border (Little River and Myrtle Beach)...they are not a problem in this area currently. I understand that the gulf states (like FL) have more of a problem than we do...but with all of the new building taking place here...they could be a problem here soon. Thank goodness they only seem to be a nuisance to your car's paint and windshield...
