What beach/beaches in new jersey are the best for a beginner(learning to swim)? Any calm waterfronts?

Just looking for beaches/waterfronts that are calm and gentle. Any help appreciated!

1. Learning to swim in the ocean itself isn't a good idea really, since it is never predictable and can cause the learner to accidentally inhale a lot of water. It is much better to learn in a body of water which is completely without currents and waves, such as a bay, inlet, or even a lake. Unless the surface is glassy smooth, it's not a good place for beginners to swim.
