- Newport Beach which is in the South Eastern tip of Rhode Island.
- I'm glad you added night life and "attractions" Certainly beaches in general do not offer those, but are usually in close proximety to hotels, clubs, towns, that cater to, and invite turist trade business. It might also depend on how you define "attractions." Here in FL for example, the "Attractions are within 2 hours of either coast, and many beaches on both sides, are at the perhipherals of small towns, as well as major cities. We also have decent weather all year, though not strictly condusive to swimming. The Carolinas have some great beaches, and probably areas along them, for finding sources of entertainment. Georgia as well. Certainly farther north there are some decent beaches, though the coastline tends to get a bit more commercialized, and farther north, a bit rougher. Again, much of what you might want will depend on seasons. Atlantic City, NJ, is a prime example of a city that was once a great place to visit, even just for the beach, when not a single hotel or casino existed. Now the only ATTRACTION I sense about it, is for gamblers. New England beaches can be strikingly beautiful, but not strictly adjacent to any attractions such as theme parks. It largely depends on your personal preferences, in being entertained. If a BEACH is only a byproduct, then you can access beaches from anywhere and find entertainment otherwise. Steven Wolf
