  1. Summer Bay
  2. Orlando is in Central Florida and not on a shore line. There are great resorts, I've stayed at the sheridan Vistana and it is two minutes from the Disney World complex and about 15 minutes from Universal Studios. If you want the beach you need to change your location to Miami, Tampa, New Symerna (beautiful) about 1 hour or so from Orlando but Orlando has no beaches of it's own. If you are looking for fun for kids, the Nickelodeon Hotel is great, it has slides, pools, cafes, game rooms and other entertainment for kids. It really depends of the age of the kids. Of course you can always stay at the Disney resorts, their great too and have all kinds of perks for family travel. I go to Orlando every year now for some 9 years, I love it, enjoy your vacation.
  3. Like was already said, Orlando is not on the coast, so there are no hotels that are right on the beach. Some have pseudo beaches on man-made lakes that are really pretty (Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Contemporary). There are also TONS of hotels on Disney Property that have multiple pools and lots of recreation. I recommend this site (as I do for everything Disney): http://allears.net/acc/faq_hot.htm They have a LOT of info, photos, etc. on every Disney hotel.
  4. Well, Orlando is land locked so finding a beach resort here will be pretty hard. Try the Tradewinds resorts in St Pete. Very family friendly and the beach is beautiful. http://www.tradewindsresort.com/
