Why do resorts near beaches have pools?
I just went to Los Cabos and stayed at the Playa Grande Resort and spa and it was beautiful. We had a great time, but I was wondering why they put in these fabulous pools when the ocean blue beach is only a few steps away? There were alot of people by the pool but the water and beaches there are so great why would you waste it at the pool?

- Some people just think the sea is dirty.
- some people like myself dont like the idea of swimming in the ocean its my one and only phobia open water i prefer pools even though pool water is pretty much clorinated urine uh oh i feel another phobia coming on
- GREAT PLACE...been to Cabo 4 times....Great Hotel..but to be honest with you..I prefer pools...Hotels have great pools with waterfalls and slides, and they are more fun to me!
- Some people have a fear of or are allergic to the salt water, or just dont like sand - - I don't get it, but that is just me.
- Specifically for Playa Grande, Solmar, Finisterra and Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is because swimming in the Pacific Side is very dangerous, the waves break right there, and the slope is to deep. You don't feel the bottom, and people get desperate and drown.
- Also the ocean gets chilly in the winter. Especially that far north but as far south as Manzanillo as well
- So you have a choice. Some people don't like the sand, they would rather enjoy blue chlorine water.
- Well, I think some picky people think the sea is dirty. Other people can`t swim or don`t know how to swim so pools are safer. Also people with kids prefer pools because children enjoy more and there`s no danger for them there.
