Anyone been to the beach front in Texas, and if so where and what are some good resorts to stay at? I am trying to decide on where to go, I want to go to the beach, I live in Oklahoma, and I don't want to go anywhere too far away from home. My husband is in Iraq and will be home for R&R in the spring and we want to take a vacation. We have thought about going back to a contemporary cabin in Eureka Springs Arkansas where we spent our honeymoon, it was fantastic, but I want to go to the beach, but I want it to be as nice, comfortable, and romantic as the cabin was. Any help on resorts that are very very nice(no matter the price) and romantic things to do on the Texas gulf coast?
Where is the best place to go (beaches and resorts) for quick Mexican Beach Vacation? My husaband and i are thinking about doing a quick weekend away in Mexico (we live in Texas) but we are particular in what we want that experience to be. So, our criteria includes- NICE sandy beaches (no trash) that are close to resorts and have AMAZING blue waters for swimming. Cocktail to beach waiters would be outstanding. We would prefer an ADULT town/resort or at least not too touristy or overrun with small children. We would maybe like to scuba, do quick day trips into a nearby town and more immortantly, be able to visit an ancient ruin. Please, if you have any ideas or can make city/hotel reccomendations we would really appreciate it!
Would it be fun to travel to a Puerto Rico beach resort alone? I have a room booked for aug. 14-18 but none of my friends can go. I am 19 years old lacking confidence right now. I love meeting new people but I have just been down in the dumps lately(basically why I want to go to Puerto Rico and get out of Texas). I'm not a bad looking guy either. Do you think it would be fun to be by yourself in a foreign place? I am having trouble deciding! I haven't ever been to a beach resort either. Are people usually friendly in these types of places?
Need a beach area on the northern side of the Gulf of Mexico, prefer relative seculsion and cheaper hotels.? We're coming down from Oklahoma and looking for a nice beach community/resort area. We would like as short a drive as possible (meaning something located at the Northern tip of the Gulf of Mexico in Texas. Just for a 2 night, weekend trip and we're leaving in 7 days so the weather should be as it is now and there's little time to get a room in advance to save cash. We were thinking about Galveston but would like something both a little less touristy and a little cheaper. We were looking at Freeport but it's hard to find good info. on the web. Any thoughts on Freeport or Galveston or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Texas Outdoor Weddings? We would like a beach wedding, but the Texas Beaches don't look very appealing. Does anyone know any resorts or nice place besides beaches to have an outdoor wedding around Feb time frame.
Want to take my kids to Galveston, Texas to shlitterbaum waterpark & am looking for very nice hotel/resort? on or VERY near the beach to stay, as this will be their summer vacation but also my first trip with my fiance as my husband and as step-father, but also as the annual trip that my best friend, college, law school roomate & I get together with our spouses and children (the difference this year being I have a new spouse, which after 20 years I am sure will be a bit uncomfortabel at first. Anyway I would like advice on a plush place to stay with luxuerous ammenities. A resort with a spa and nice place to eat would be nice, but the biggest bonus is a hotel with suites, not just standard rooms, so that the children can be in the same room but not in the same room. I would appreciate any advice, I am running out of time. I came up with the idea, I have never even been to galveston and I don't want to select the wrong hotel .
Is it really dangerous to have a house on a mountain? it looks cool when the house is on the mountain but its gonna fall when theres a earthquake...soo what is the point of that? I know texas doesnt really have any houses like that....california..alot of houses r built like that...and florida...then i hear ppl say california is dumb to have houses right by the beach? but if u think about it alot of resorts..the houses r built by or on the beach..where there is danger of volcanoe activity?
Great family vacation with things to do (toddlers, less than 5)? Where would you take toddlers on vacation if you DON'T want to just stick them in the Kid's Day Care but you do want a resort, beach, warm weather, attractions, etc.? We were looking at Atlantis in the Bahamas because of the water slides, aquarium, etc. but it is too far away from California. I'm thinking Florida at the furthest, Texas? Hawaii? S. California? Mexico?? Specific resorts please.
Looking for nice nudist resort near Houston Texas? When I was younger, hippie days, I used to hang out (no pun intended) at various nude beach type places. I really enjoyed the feeling of freedom. I didn't really do it to see naked people or been seen naked, although there is some factor of interest in both categories. I plan to go again after many years, now with my new, younger wife. Im 58 and she is 33. We are both in good physical condition. She has never done it but is has a very open mind in regards to things like this and is interested to try it. I live in Houston Texas. I have seen several places on the internet but does anyone know a good place?
Family vacation ideas? We are planing a family vacation for 13 people, age range from 13 to 69. We want an all inclusive beach resort. Does anyone know of any good, but not outrageously expensive, places to go. We want nice beach with blue water (I say this because we live in Texas and the Gulf of Mexico is NOT blue!!!) and activities to entertain our wide age range.
Fun things to do in South Padre Island, Texas? Just looking for some ideas...just to give you a little background I plan on staying at the Bahia Mar Resort and know about the beaches and Schlitterbahn water park, but still wanted some fun ideas that aren't to crazy expensive! Thanks!
im 13 and ready to dye already, please help me? throughout my life my parents and brother haven't really cared about me at all. when i was little my brother had ADHD and they were constantly giving him attention helping him with his school work. i grew up not really having parents that were there for me, i often found myself getting in trouble. wether it was scrating the neighbors car with a rock because no one would play with me, or pushing my old neighbor off her bike. i never really learned wrong from right and didnt get told what not to do. instead my parents were constantly punishing me. hitting me when id done something they didnt like, or locking me in the bathroom. i question if they even love me. as i got older the punishment got worse. i sit in a room for what seemed like hours listening to them yelling and screaming at me. my mom would slap me untill me cheeks were raw red, and there was nothing i could do because if i fought back she would only go get my dad and he'd beat me worse. my dad, he picks me up by my neck, chokes me, hits me, yells, locks me in small closets. and i cant do nothing. i have no one to talk to in my life. so i tried to cure my life at home by becoming popular at school, but ive now realized you cant have it all at school, and nothing at home. because my home life is constantly bringing me down and i find myself taking it out on my friends. i cannot lie, my mom does supply clothes for me and i would never call us poor. but she doesnt ever treat me equally to my brother at all. he is 17, and they constantly let him go places and pay full out for him. he has a nice car, might i mention it was 12,000 something dollars. and he goes on tons of vacations. this spring break they sent him out to florida to stay in a beach resort with his friends. he goes to many school gathers anywhere from texas to the rocky mountains. and thats about 1,000 a trip. they just bought him a new 24" mac computer and he already had a perfectly good one year old HP laptop with the whole package. basically hes constantly geting new things. and my mom only buys me clothes every, about 5 months. if i ask her about getting my own computer, she will claim im too young. even though my brother got his first computer at the age of 10. if i ask for a cell phone she tells me im not responsible enough. but shes never even let me proove to her that i am responsible. she doesnt let me go to camps, or school trips. and they sometimes dont bring me on vacations because they only booked for 3? ONLY THREE? she calls me the "accidental child" because i wasnt supposed to happen. i guess she didnt want another kid but she got me. my mom constantly brings me down, and will say things like, "did you do your hair?" "no, i just brushed it." "oh well lets jsut say your not looking to hot today hunnny." "what do you mean mom" "jeez hunny thats enough, i never new id have to tell you you were ugly i thought youd see it in the mirror yourself" im just abuot done with life what do i do?
How much is the average cost for a 1 week vacation out of the U.S.? I'm trying to budget for a vacation. Here are the details 2 adults flying round trip from Texas - coach Either in April, May or June time frame Destination's were considering (one, not all) Costa Rica Italy Beliz Jamaica Somewhere lush in Mexico Fiji Australia Galapagos Islands If you've visited or priced any of these places could you give me an idea of how much a 1 week (possibly 2 week) vacation would cost. If you have any other suggestions they are welcome as well. It must be international, not really worried about it being a beach resort as neither of us plan to do any swimming on the trip. Lush would be nice though. Something with Natural history -landscapes or maybe ancient cultures would be a place we're interested... OR a place that offers a good foody experience. :) Thanks! lol... no I didn't mean so that we could be lush's... haha... I meant somewhere the landscape was lush. :)
I'm Tired of Living in Texas? I visited some friends in Key Largo this summer and fell in love with Southern Florida. It also doesn't help that I've always wanted to live near a beach! In the past couple of years, pretty much all of my best friends have moved out of state or to cities a few hours away. Not only am I 26 now, but I feel like I have no friends and to make matters worse, I got laid off from my job a little over a month and a half ago. I've interviewed here, but no luck at all. I'm just realizing how much I need a big change and my mind hasn't left the Florida idea. I'm just scared because I'm having to do all of this alone (my Florida friend lives on a resort). I'm thinking of driving down in few weeks and maybe staying at a hostel or just renting a room (to look for work). Has anyone ever done this? I mean has anyone ever relocated to another state and gone about it without jobs lined up? Give me the details.
Is it possible for an american to work in Egypt? Hi, I have a b.s in marketing from univ. of hawaii and a mba from Texas a&m in the usa. I want to live in egypt because I have fallen in love with everything about the country. Is it possible for me to get a job here? Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking? I love the beach and resort areas as well. Cairo is fun, but I would rather live in the real egypt and not be hassled and mistaken for a tourist all the time. Thanks for your help. Jeremy

Why are people so uptight about being naked ? My wife and I went to a nudist resort here in Texas last weekend and it was great. I did some nude beach activity when I was younger but it has been many years, and my wife has never done it. We both had a great time. After a few minutes of feeling a bit akward we relaxed and sunbathed, went swimming, ate, talked, met a bunch of nice naked people. By the time we left we felt uncomfortable putting our clothes back on! We are hooked and are going to go back frequently. Why do people think this is such a big deal to be naked with other people? I must admit there were a few fat people there. Also some ugly people, old, young, good looking. Pretty much like regular society. Everyone seemed comfortable with their bodies though, unlike regular society. One does not go to a nudist place to see "weiners" or have someone see yours, one goes to enjoy the feeling of freedom that comes with being naked, outside in a beautiful place. Everyone had plenty of morals, just not your one about feeling ashamed of your body "imagine" if you were able to separate nudity from sexuality.
Where would you suggest we stay..? So were planning on taking a little trip down to Texas. But, we want to be able to go to the beach without having to drive 2 hours from the resort/hotel. So basically we want a place located on the beach as close as possible. What hotel or resort would you suggest thats close the the beach? Oh another thing, would be even be able to enjoy the beach or would it be off limits because of the oil spill?
Would you rather go to Tahiti/Bora Bora or Dubai? My boyfriend and I are going on vacation for 9 days in September 2007. I want to go to Dubai because there is a gorgeous beach with really blue water, along with an indoor ski resort, city, nightlife, shopping, sand dunes and the latest and greatest architecture! My boyfriend wants to go to a deserted island like Bora Bora where there is BEAUTIFUL, CLEAR water, but I think we would get bored after 3-4 days and I would get island fever! Anyone been on any of these two? If not, have any of these places come to your mind? What would you choose? If none of these appeal to you, where would you go? BTW, my boyfriend is originally from the UK and I am Vietnamese-American (born and raised in Texas). We both reside in Northern California just to give you a background of us. Also, we have never been to either of these places. Thanks for any of your opinions and output in advance!
Is this true about Mccain's First Wife? I got this forward today and I am not sure if it is true. Please read, has a little length, but it should keep your attention. I would like to know if it has any truth to it: She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam's infamous 'Hanoi Hilton' prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news. But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Her car had skidded on icy roads into a telegraph pole on Christmas Eve, 1969.Her pelvis and one arm were shattered by the impact and she suffered massive internal injuries. When Carol was discharged from hospital after six months of lifesaving surgery, the prognosis was bleak. In order to save her legs, surgeons had been forced to cut away huge sections of shattered bone, taking with it her tall, willowy figure. She was confined to a wheelchair and was forced to use a catheter. Today, she stands at just 5' 4' in and still walks awkwardly, with a pronounced limp. Her body is held together by screws and metal plates and, at 70, her face is worn by wrinkles that speak of decades of silent suffering. For nearly 30 years, Carol has maintained a dignified silence about the accident, McCain and their divorce. But last week at the bungalow where she now lives at Virginia Beach, a faded seaside resort 200 miles south of Washington, she told The Mail on Sunday how McCain divorced her in 1980 and married Cindy, 18 years his junior and the heir to an Arizona brewing fortune, just one month later. My marriage ended because John McCain didn't want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does. 'In 1979 - while still married to Carol - he met Cindy at a cocktail party in Hawaii. Over the next six months he pursued her, flying around the country to see her. Then he began to push to end his marriage. Some of McCain's acquaintances are less forgiving, however. They portray the politician as a self-centered womanizer who effectively abandoned his crippled wife to 'play the field'. They accuse him of finally settling on Cindy, a former rodeo beauty queen, for financial reasons. Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces20 in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veterans' rights, said: 'I have been following John McCain's career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is-deceit.' When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it. Eventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better. 'McCain is the classic opportunist. He's always reaching for attention and glory,' he said. After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona . And the rest is history.' Ross Perot, a billionaire Texas businessman, and a former presidential candidate, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel - even by the standards of modern politics.
Who is Carol McCain; besides John McCain's former wife? I recieved this in a forwarded e-mail; I was wondering how much of it was factual. Carol McCain speaks out on her former husband. On the "Christian Forum" we saw a few weeks ago, McCain mentioned that his greatest failure in life was the ending of his first marriage. I guess he had to admit some remorse because his wife was going public with the story. First wife out of sight, how shallow can one man be? McCain likes to illustrate his moral fiber by referring to his five years as a prisoner-of-war in Vietnam . And to demonstrate his commitment to family values, the 71-year- old former US Navy pilot pays warm tribute to his beautiful blonde wife, Cindy, with whom he has four children. But there is another Mrs. McCain who casts a ghostly shadow over the Senator's presidential campaign. She is seldom seen and rarely written about, despite being mother to McCain's three eldest children. She was the woman McCain dreamed of during his long incarceration and torture in Vietnam 's infamous ' Hanoi Hilton' prison and the woman who faithfully stayed at home looking after the children and waiting anxiously for news. But when McCain returned to America in 1973 to a fanfare of publicity and a handshake from Richard Nixon, he discovered his wife had been disfigured in a terrible car crash three years earlier. Honestly, do you love America despite the Neo-conservatism? I admit the scenery in America can get magnificent (in places)....what a beautiful country. The California typography is surreal, from the Desert to the Pacific to the Redwoods to the valley to San Francisco Bay to the vineyards to the Sierra to Yosemite....to Big Sur.....to Hollywood and the celebrities.....it MAKES America! I LOVE driving across Ohio and seeing the smalltown hardworking Union industrial towns that built the backbone of America. I love the independent eccelectic sleepless New York, NY. I love the vision of paradise you sense in Walt Disney World Resorts in Orlando and the Beaches of Miami. The French Culture of New Orleans. The glitter of Las Vegas. The history of the native peoples in the Dakotas, the carvings of our forefathers on the stones of Mount Rushmore. The people of the Rockies in Colorado.... the hospitality of the South The ever still grasslands of Texas The Colonial settlements and battlefields of Virginia. The slow-cooked Barbecue of the Carolinas... The serenity of America's National Parks and State Parks. The 10,000 Lakes and wooden cabins and cottages and churches, of Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan.... what a BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY!!!! We are blessed to live in this country. But what is with the neo-conservatives who want to take everything down and put Walmarts everywhere and bail out AIG and big companies instead of helping small businesses and poor families? what are we doing to this BEAUTIFUL country.... This country is too beautiful to destroy with bad politics. Can we at least agree on that? And before you all die, you need to take drive along Arizona's Desert hills and hike the Grand Canyon

Why are our congressmen throwing lavish events when we're in the middle of difficult times? These bums need to be THROWN out NOW! I don't care anymore if they're repubs or dems. Kick all their asses out and get some new, less corrupt people in there! Excerpt: WASHINGTON — The deepening economic recession hasn't stopped members of Congress from throwing lavish events to raise campaign money for the 2010 election. This weekend, donors to a political action committee run by Rep. Jeb Hensarling are invited to the Snake River Lodge & Spa near Jackson Hole, Wyo., for a ski outing hosted by the Texas Republican. The minimum donation: $2,500, according to the invitation, which touts opportunities to take sleigh rides to an elk refuge and snowmobile excursions to the Continental Divide. Skiing also is on the agenda at a fundraiser this weekend in Vail, Colo., for Democrat Ed Perlmutter. Donations range from $2,400 for an individual to $5,000 for a political action committee. Donors seeking warmer climes could have joined veteran Democratic Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii for a "Weekend of Aloha" fundraiser at a resort on Honolulu's Waikiki Beach. Inouye's event, held last weekend, started two days after lawmakers passed President Obama's $787 billion plan aimed at jump-starting the economy. Lawmakers are on a week-long break and return Monday. "Everyone is tightening their belts, but lawmakers are doing what they have always done: holding fundraisers in exotic locales," said Nancy Watzman, who tracks political fundraising events for the watchdog group Sunlight Foundation. "This is the kind of thing that's out of reach to most people, and it's pretty much hidden from the public." http://www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2009-02-19-fundraising_N.htm
Where should we go on vacation? My parents want to take us on a vacation - there are 4 of us (dad - 55, mom - 54, me (female) - 25, my brother - 21. We live in the Dallas, TX area. We aren't looking for "the vacation of a lifetime" or anything, mainly just to relax, have fun, and be together. Comparable vacations (in terms of cost and distance) we've taken in the past are - a week at an all inclusive resort in Cancun, a week in Estes Park Colorado (Rocky Mountain national park), a week in a rental house in the Texas Hill country, a week in a beachfront hotel in South Padre, that kind of thing. The problem is this - some of us DON't like beaches where the water isn't clear (murky water...uugghhh), Colorado is too far to drive, and we want something different than the Hill country. We want somewhere there are things to do, yet you can just hang out too. Oh and we want to go in August. One more thing, we really aren't interested in a cruise. We get along, but not well enough to share a cabin. THANKS!!
Somewhere romantic to go to Jamaica? :)? Ok I had plan on going by myself to Jamaica. But now I have a man friend that is coming with me:) So for the people who have been to Jamaica or live there. For budget reasons we can afford to go to Montego Bay even though I really wanted to go to Negril at first. So for myself I didn't want to pay no more then $1000 for 3-4 days. I live in Texas. I went to expedia, travelocity, orbitz and hotwire and looking at the hotels and beaches pictures can be deceiving. I prefer an all inclusive resort. But my main concern is that I want my hotel to be on the beach. white sand. Maybe someone know any hotels that are not updated on the websites I named earlier or recommend me to stay somewhere. What is else there to do besides the beach? I was going to stay at Rockhouse Hotel in Negril:( Oh and how much U.S money should I bring? and around what month is cheap to go. I plan on going July/Aug
Looking for Perfect Romantic Vacation for December Anniversary!!!? I want to plan a great, romantic (and hopefully, but not required cheap) vacation for my one year anniversary to my husband. I would like to surprise him with the trip destination. For our honeymoon, we went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for about a week. We have also visited Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and California since getting married. We are not opposed to going out of the country as we both will have passports soon. We love all climates, the beach and mountains. We like water rafting, swimming, etc.My husband does not snorkel or dive, but that can be an activity that is available. We have never been on a cruise or to an all-inclusive resort (either together or separate), but are not opposed to those either. Any suggestions on destinations, hotels, activities, etc. would be appreciated! I would like to keep the accommodations, travel expenses, etc. under $4000 (excluding food, activities, and spending money) because we will be traveling close to Christmas time. THANK YOU!!!! Honeymoon Suggestions??? We are going on our honeymoon the first week of November 2008. We are looking for somewhere in the U.S. We want to go somewhere that is not within driving distance from us, so that rules out Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Arkansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi. Neither of us are entertained by the water/beach scene so we have no desire to go to California or Florida. We’ve also been to New York, so that is excluded as well. We are open to a small town, large town, resort area… Any suggestions?
Why do so many americans diss their own country? We have; Deserts (arizona, texas, new mexico) Snovy Cold arctic areas (alaska, maine) Forests (Pacific Northwest, parts of alaska, Adirondacks) Farmland (Most of the Midsection of U.S.) Tropical areas (Hawaii, So. Florida, So, cali) .and lots more I DARE YOU to name 1 country that is as geographically diverse as the U.S. ....China comes close but it still lacks a few environments. We have TOTALLY unique cities! Las Vegas (Glitsy Gambling) NYC, Chicago (Big Buildings) Miami (Resorts and highrise condo's and hot girls and beaches!!!) Los Angeles (EVERYTHNG in one) Detroit, St. Louis (Ghetto) Honolulu (Expensive tropical apartments, condos) New Orleans (Abandoned city [for the most part]) Washington D.C. (gorgeous European-LIKE capital (well parts of it!lol) Sure we have our fair share of idiotic leaders, but what country hasn't? Sure some of us act arrogant and overlypatriotic, but in a nation like ours, who can blame us? Sorry, I have to go! Im going snowboarding in alaska, then mudbathing in Kansas than going ATV offroading in arizona, than flying to Miami Beach and "spending time" with all the hot girls than going to Detroit and getting robbed and raped than ending it with going to a church in Atlanta to get over my mental trauma. I love being an american! I think one root of american hatred is jealousy.
Can you save my trip to Destin and suggest alternative activities? We are leaving for Destin, FL in a week for our trip which is scheduled for May 10-14th. We have rented a beach front condo, so naturally we didn't plan on doing much more than vegging out on the beach listening to the waves. Now I'm pretty sure that's the last thing we'll want to be doing if the smell is just horrible (not to mention breathing in toxic fumes!) I have contacted the resort properties about cancelling, but unfortunately our travel insurance through CSA is useless as they are not refunding any money due to the oil spill since it's a man made disaster. So PLEASE, can you give me alternative activities within a few hours drive of Destin that we can do while we're there? We'll have our car since we're driving from Texas. (I don't even want to think about how unpleasant the drive will be down the coast!!) What can we do to make the best of our trip since we don't have the option to cancel? Thanks! ETA: This is regarding the oil spill, so it will show up on searches, thanks.

Where's the coolest place you've ever vacationed? Or what's your favorite family vacation memory? I'd say Cancun was the most fun for me. I actually went by myself. It was at an all inclusive resort and I just had a blast going to the clubs and doing different activites. From like age 5 to age 22, we had a condo in South Padre Island, Texas right on the Gulf. It was all the way on the other end of the Island (like the absolute last condo buildings) so it was really quiet and peaceful but when I got older, I could take the trolley over to the other end and go to all the Spring Break bars and stuff. My favorite memory is just walking along the beach with my little sis and my Mom and Grandma wearing are little windbreakers and catching the sunset and looking for seashells and feeding the seagulls. When I was in grade school, my Mom (who had a teacher's degree) would take us out of school for a month or two in the winter and we'd stay down there. I have a lot of good memories. Oh, it was called the Tiki and there was this Polynesian restaurant & you got leis, I loved that!
What will Obama & Calderón say about this Cancun mayor is arrested on drug charges? MEXICO CITY - The arrest of Cancun's mayor on suspicion of protecting two violent drug gangs as he campaigned for governor has heightened fears that cartels are muscling their way into Mexican politics. There are also worries the gangs are tightening control over the country's most important tourist resort. Gregorio Sanchez faces drug-trafficking and money-laundering charges a year after his police chief and other close collaborators were arrested for allegedly protecting cartels, said Ricardo Najera, a spokesman for the federal Attorney General's Office. Sanchez is suspected of tipping off and protecting the Beltran Leyva and Zetas drug cartels - gangs known for brutal tactics including beheading rivals. He had taken a leave of absence as Cancun mayor to run for governor of Quintana Roo state, known for turquoise Caribbean waters and white-sand beaches marketed as the Mayan Riviera. The mayor is the first candidate in the July 4 elections formally linked to cartels, but fears have been rising that drug gangs are infiltrating the vote in several states through intimidation and bribes. On May 13, gunmen killed a mayoral candidate in a town near the border with Texas after he ignored warnings to quit the race. Several other candidates have received threats, and in some towns near the U.S. border, some parties couldn't find anyone to run for mayor. High-level corruption remains one of the biggest impediments in the fight against drug trafficking in Western Hemisphere countries that have become key smuggling corridors. In Jamaica, security forces are fighting supporters of a major drug-trafficking suspect who has ties to the ruling party and is resisting extradition to the U.S. In Guatemala, the national anti-drug czar and police chief are under arrest in a case involving cocaine and slain police. The Sanchez case will be another tough test for Mexico's judicial system and its ability to successfully prosecute high-profile drug and corruption cases. The last effort largely fizzled: A year ago Wednesday, 10 mayors from the western state of Michoacan were arrested in an unprecedented sweep against elected officials accused of protecting drug gangs. All but two have been released for lack of evidence. "Mexico is very much infiltrated by these gangs, and they reach very high levels," said Peter Hakim, president emeritus of the Washington-based Inter-American Dialogue. "(President Felipe) Calderón has shown extraordinary bravery, but the question is whether he succeeds. ... Eventually, the government has to demonstrate that it can exercise authority." http://azstarnet.com/news/local/border/article_20ce6429-aefa-5c0b-95c6-7e8f0a80b753.html
Sorry, should have been more clear; those are just suggested regions to vacation. Question is, what resort is good for toddlers, has beaches, pools and things to do?
Where can I look for a Guaranteed Timeshare Sale? I bought a timeshare years ago that I honestly can't see myself ever using! My week is coming up next month and I can't take off work. I would rather sell this thing at a major loss on my part and stop thinking about how much money I wasted. Where can I get a few thousand for my timeshare? It's the Palm Beach Shores Resort in South Florida. I have it listed with Vacation Register who guaranteed a sale in 6 months...that was 2 years ago. I purchased the timeshare while vacationing from Texas in South Florida. In September 2006, I realized I wasn't ever going to be able to use it. For one, I was living in Miami! Now I live in the panhandle of FL... Please help me find a company that will help me sell my timeshare by next month UNLIKE VACATION REGISTER that has taken my money and I've seen no results.

My BIGGEST dream is to traveling across the world in the coming future, specially to my dream country and the MOST romantic place in the world... JAPAN! Japanese language is JUST so cool, I don't know what they say but I sure always LOVE their refreshing accents. I always want to witness their humble tradition and culture in my own eyes, to taste those SO popular ramen that everyone seems so crazy over, those insane print clubs(purikura xD) that everyone does all the hamming & CRAZY poses on the camera, AND offcourse ALL those vibrant women on kimonos... Ahh! Yeah babyyyy I'm IN LOVE... in JAPAN xD!. Well for me travel is like a romance and adventure rolled into one. There is something breathtaking about stepping onto a plane in a modern city of skyscrapers and freeways and stepping off mere hours later into a city of ancient cathedrals, narrow cobblestone roads, steamy crowded markets and tiny theaters. While I love a white sandy beach at an all-inclusive resort, the real adventure for me is exploring places that your average tourist passes up. Well I'm a selfish prick, A hot, pampered intellectual w/ a big dick and a witty tongue. I'm young enough to do it often and old enough to do it right. I don't have time for petty drama or emotional hysterics. I do what I want, when I want. I've build a lifestyle that allows me to experience some fantastic things. I've also been blessed to have had some great people in my life. If we compliment each other well, the possibilities are endless. This has been a fantastic year of self realization and growth. I love Las Pinas but do miss my friends back in the Philippines... hanging out in my best friend's back yard, throwing pillows at each other after tournaments of x-men games, listening to music, and talking about where we wanted our lives to take us... We hang out as 4 groups and we are inseparable --- there's a time where our teacher make the class group together to perform in stage on Christmas. We wrote our songs at my apartment(I'm the vocalist), I was so scared ~ back then since at that time I was very shy guy and NEVER perform in front of a crowd before w/ any activity but I still persist to join in since I'm together w/ my friend supporting me (and I like the part of the song where I bust the ball of my friend of having his mustache grow too much.) I remember stepping off the plane in New York and into the crazy pink and blue neon lights of Times Square reflecting off crowded rainy streets... and the exciting noises of the crowd everywhere. But what drive me crazy is trying to figure out a way to "sneak out" at night (I promise the girl I like back then I was going to buy her a really cool present) because I'm expecting my parents not to let me go outside since Times Square big enough people will tend to get lost BUT I can't afford NOT to buy one for her even if it means sneaking out the 50th floor hotel window using curtain as a rope to go to the hallway floor below. Fortunately I've been allowed to go out, I started the search right away for the princess, get bumped by the crowds then and there. Even though I'm w/ my sister, I almost still got lost because I keep running in every store I see. In the end I saw a gazillion souvenirs that I like and the next thing I know... I ended up buying souvenirs for the rest of my friends. xD Who I'd like to meet This Clyde is looking for a cute, fast & furious Bonnie to rob his savings back from those nasty Icelandic banks while our currency is still alive. She must be emancipated enough to do the vault drilling, a wizz with numbers to crack it for when the drill breaks, and not be afraid to throw your heels into battle when we hear suspicious sirens. Please only reply when you can proof you're my Bonnie by sending me a photo of your fast getaway car..and showing me you
