Thanks for the answers, I appreciate all your input. Family of 5 - Mom/Dad/3 boys (11,9,7). Want a beachfront all inclusive resort in Costa Rica for a week next June. Any thoughts/recommendations about Allegro Papagayo, Doubletree Puntarenas, Flamingo Beach Hotel, Barceló Langosta Beach, Barceló Tambor Beach? Never been to Costa Rica. The bottom line is...I want easy and quick access to the beach and I don't want to worry about cooking or figuring out where to eat. We are looking to be taken care of with a nice/clean room, but not pay an arm and a leg for it (like the Four Seasons).
Where is a good all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica? My fiance and I are trying to plan our honeymoon. We want good food, nice beaches, and fun activities like hiking in the rainforest and such.
Your favorite all inclusive resort in Costa Rica? In the Northern Pacific region..... I heard this area is a little drier since we will be traveling down there in October. I was looking into Barcelo Tambor resort but it's like 4 hours from San Jose Airport. We wanted to cut some of our commute time so we are thinking of flying into Liberia. Anyone been to any resorts/hotels in the North Pacific region? It's hard to tell how they actually are just by going online and looking at pictures. Looked at the Flamingo beach, Langosta beach and a few others. I'm interested in the Playa Paradisus... looks really nice, but is it really worth an extra grand? Going on a honeymoon so I'm not traveling with children.
What is the best All-Inclusive Resort to stay in Liberia, Costa Rica thats close to attractions? I want something that is affordable, nice beach, nice rooms and that teens can stay at (no adults only).
Traveling to Costa Rica June. Is this a good time? What is a good all inclusive place to stay? Me and my family are thinking of traveling to Costa Rica in late June early July. My mom wants an all inclusive resort where she can veg by a clean beach and read all day. She is very much into room sservice. My brother and I want a clean beach to snorkel and hang in the water, a hotel semi close to town so we can go to clubs at night and close to the airport. We also want to do a few things on the island: Nature walking, see some waterfalls, go shopping a little bit. What is the best semi cheapest but Nice all inclusive hotel to stay at? Any suggestions on what we should do while we are there?
I am trying to plan an all inclusive trip to Costa Rica on the cheap any ideas? I would like to stay at a resort on the beach either side is fine.
Good place to go for a Costa Rica honeymoon? Looking for a nice resort in Costa Rica, preferably all-inclusive, for our honeymoon in October. Interested in beach activities as well as jungle activities.
i want an all inclusive vacation in costa rica but i do not know where to go? It needs to be a nice all inclusive, not cheap but not too expensive ether. I would like it to be on or near a nice beach that has some waves so that i can learn how to surf. The resort has to be decent as well. everything u guys have said sounds great, though im just wondering how big the waves are at those you have mentioned are good for surfing because i have never surfed before
Luxury Resorts in Costa Rica for a Wedding? I really want to get married in Costa Rica on the beach. I'm looking for reccomendations. Must be a kid friendly facility but really nice. I am open to all-inclusive as well. If you know of anything please respond! Thanks!
Recommendations for best all-inclusive resort for a cheap price? I'm looking to renew my vows on a beach at an all-inclusive resort somewhere in the Caribbean. I'm thinking Cabos or Playa del Carmen in Mexico, Costa Rica, etc... Do you have any suggestions for great wedding locations at a reasonable price and good wedding packages? I'm looking to spend under $5,000 for my wedding and accomodations.
Where is the nightlife better in Costa Rica? Sanjose or Tamarindo? Three 21 year olds are going to Costa Rica in Aug. Right now we are looking at a all inclusive resort in Tamarindo. Although we are interested in the beach and culture etc. We are also wanting to have a goodtime. So where is the best nightlife? And what place is safer? Also, what are the must do's for either of these places? Thanks =]
Has anyone vacationed in Costa Rica? My husband and I are going there next weekend for 8 days. We are extremely excited but we do not know anyone who has vacationed there. We are staying at an all inclusive resort right on the beach and will be celebrating our second honeymoon and my husbands 30th birthday! We have booked a canopy excursion already. Has anyone taken a dinner cruise there before? Any information you could give would be great! Thanks! Also, will give out best answer award!
travel to costa rica? we are thinking about a trip to costa rica. anyone been there and what part is the best for beaches? we are in our early 50's so not real adventurous but would like to see volcano's and rainforest. we prefer all-inclusive resorts. thanks
Where is a good place to stay in Costa Rica? I would like to stay at a 4-5 star all-inclusive resort with an amazing beach that is close to a lot of day trips that I would like to do like; Rainforest Cloud Forest Hot Springs Waterfall Nature Cruise Wetlands Volcano Zip Line
cancun or costa rica in July? I am planning to take my Mom for a nice vacation (kinda Mother/daughter thing). The timeframe is July 1-18th. I am currently thinking between Cancun or Costa Rica. We are not the type of people who would be happy just spending this whole time at one resort, wetbars and spas. Ideally I'd love to combine a few days on the beach/snorkeling etc with some adventure tours - see Mayan ruins, or going on nature tours. Since I am travelling with Mom, adventure has to be safe :) Neither of us has ever being to Mexico or Costa Rica, so any advice will be useful. The biggest concern is rainy season/hurricane season, and also what to do. In Cancun -with day trips to Mayan ruins, horse riding, cenotes, etc - is there enought to do for 18 days? Is it better to stay in all inclusive hotel? In Costa Rica - how rainy is it and what is the general advice you'd give? Thanks in advance :)
Caribbean All-inclusive suggestions? My fiance and I are planning a destination wedding for Feb 2010. We're having the HARDEST time finding a good AI (all-inclusive). We went to Costa Rica back in August and LOVED the resort (Paradisus Playa Conchal) but think it's too expensive for most guests. Can anybody recommend a nice AI in the Caribbean? A couple of the things that we really liked about the Paradisus that we don't want to settle on is that they didn't charge for the in-room safe and dining at the a la carte restaurants was unlimited (could go every single night, not just 3 times a week or something). We'd certainly like to keep it under $1500/week/person. There will be at least one teenager coming so it can't be an adult only resort (but I don't want costumed characters running around my wedding either). The RIU chain has been suggested, we've also looked into the Gran Bahia, Breezes, Beaches. I would like to hear first hand experiences or new suggestions though. Thanks for any help! Oops, forgot to say that Mexico isn't an option!
WHat is Costa Rica like? My bf and I are planning a trip somewhere for one week in the middle of May. We are looking at Costa Rica as a possibility. We found a couple all inclusive packages to Liberia (Allegro Papgayo or Villas San Tol). We are just wondering what the weather, beaches and crime, wildlife and food is like there. Is it a good place to visit?? Has anyone stayed at any of the two resorts and if so how were they?
Which Caribbean island should we visit? Or should it be Costa Rica? Or? My husband and I are looking to go to the Caribbean next month. Neither of us are much for just lounging in the sun and I will be about 3 month pregnant by then so partying is out as is diving, zip lines, and other such activities. We are laid back outdoorsy camping types, into photography and want both beach and rainforest. I am leaning toward St Lucia (and have looked into Guadalupe and Dominica but they don't seem as easy to get to). We don't want to go to a fancy, big money spending place or like a Spring Break or Hollywood vacation spot- just normal. I would like to avoid places I have been already (USVI, Bahamas, Jamaica) and Puerto Rico is probably too American. We are also looking into Costa Rica. We would like to keep it reasonably priced and aren't sure all inclusive is necessarily worth it for us (it seems it costs about $100 per person per day and I just cant see eating $100 worth per day- you almost have to drink your money's worth). Also we don't want to spend the whole trip at a resort- we want to get out and explore! Okay, I am being sold on PR a bit now... plus it's a lot cheaper to fly to and get good nonstop flights, or early arrivals...but would love to hear more from people...
Looking for some nice family vacation destinations that are all-inclusive.? Just came back from Cancun (Grand Oasis Viva Beach resort) and it was OK; the weather was great, but the hotel was NOT a 4 star; food was average. I am looking for some resorts that have lots of things for kids and tweens to do. I would be interested in maybe Jamaica, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, or other places that are not so commercial.
Which destination would you recommend? My boyfriend and I are planning on going on vacation at the end of March. We want something different from the "popular spots" like Jamaica, Dominican, Cuba and Mexico. We are looking into St. Lucia, St. Martin, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Barbados, etc. We want beachfront and a very nice resort. Preferably all inclusive. I'd like somewhere that has nice scenery and isn't just beach, although the beach is most important. We are planning for this to be a "romantic" vacation. Could anyone compare these or have any inside advice on details to do with these destinations? Thanks!
Caribbean vacation suggestions? We were thinking of going on a vacation to the caribbean and are having trouble choosing an island. We know we don't want to stay, or go to mexico. And we we deffinatly want an all inclusive resort. [we don't want to nessessarily be doing just resort activities though] We also want an island that along with all the beach and water stuff has other things like maybe jungles to zip line or something like that [st.lucia and Costa rica are out] any other suggestions?
