What do the teens do in the day camp at Beaches Turks and Caicos? I am going to Beaches Turks and Caicos this summer. My parents are going scuba diving every morning, so I have to go to the kids/teen day camp thing or whatever its called. What do they do there? On the beaches web site it says like boat trips and dance parties but that sounds kinda weird. If you have been there, did you like it? How often did you go during the trip? Would I get bored after a few hours each morning?
Beaches Turks and Caicos - Leave your wallet at home? I'm leaving for my 1st visit to Beaches Turks and Caicos tomorrow with my son for a week. Whats your opinion on Dreams Cancun and Beaches Turks and Caicos? I'm 15 for the record and this summer my family and I are going to a few places. The two places that excite me the most are Dreams Cancun and Beaches turks and caicos. I've googled imaged them and they both look amazing. We went to beaches Boscobel in the spring so we've got some higher expectations of tourks and caicos. But, we haven't gone to a Dreams resort because our travel agent said they are over priced, but we decided to go there anyways. We're not going to Dreams until the end of Against but we're going to Turks and Caicos the beginning of July. Any opinions or warnings?
nervous about beaches turks and caicos!? my mom, stepdad, and i (14) are planning a vacation and we are interested in the beaches turks and caico's but, we are nervous that elmo will be walking around everywhere. we saw in pictures and in the description that they have like a sesame day camp. we don't want this to be like a disney cruise where the characters walk up to you. we also don't want 3 and 4 year olds running around everywhere. and also we are not sure if this place is nice. in the pictures and descriptions it looks and sounds great but some people say it was terrible! ugh! helpp me decide!
Beaches Resort, Turks & Caicos...Drinks Included? I'm really interested in planning a trip to this resort and was just wondering if anyone can tell me what kind of drinks are included. The website says the all-inclusive price includes "premium" drinks...can anyone who has been to any of the Beaches Resorts expand upon this?

We really don't want to pay for anything just no worrys
Have you Gone to Beaches Turk & Caicos Before? OK! So. I'm heading there this coming march break. My question to you, is it the kind of resort that you should lie and say you're older in order to have fun, or does the selection of teen oriented stuff work just fine. Some places, the teen stuff is cool, and you're totally fine. Others, it sucks and you'd be better off with the adult privledges. I was wondering what sort of place this was. Say my age, or say I'm a year older?

I have a few questions about the Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos... ? I am going to the Beaches in turks in Caicos this summer. If you have been there can you tell me how you liked it? Are there water slides any good? How many were there? Also, I wanted to get my hair braided. Is there a place where you can get that done there? If so, how much does it cost? What were the rooms like? We are staying in a room with a king bed and a day bed. There are 4 of us. Do you think the room will be cramped? If you can answer any of these questions please answer! What should I take for clothes on my beach vacation to Turks & Caicos? I was thinking sun dresses, swimsuit (2), board shorts, jean skirt, khaki shorts, and tube tops. But what should I wear in the evenings to eat or if they are having like a beach party or to a club? Do you still wear the same type of clothing or do I take something a little dressier? Also, I am a size 14, I have a tad bit of a belly but its not the worse I have ever seen. I can't find a tankini I like and would like to buy just a regular bikini top. Should I be self conscious and think about others having to see me like that or should I just think "too bad, I want to soak up some sun"? Thanks for your help.
Whats your opinion on the Dreams Vacation resorts? So we are going a few places this summer. Im 15 and I absolutely love the caribbean so I want to know some opinions. We are going to Beaches Turks and Caicos in June and then in July we are going to Dreams Cancun. We have been to a beaches resort before, Beaches Boscobel, so we have pretty high expectations for Turks and Caicos. However we haven't been to a Dreams resort yet so we thought we should try it out. I'm so sad about this! Please Help!? Is it true that the Beaches Turks and Caicos resort got hit by a hurricane this summer and isn't up to the amazing standards it was at in 2005ish and earlier? I was going to go the past winter break but it turns out that they told us not to book because of the storm. Is it fixed yet? Was it hit hard? Will it ever be the same? Please help!

If you have tell me about the hotel place and the beaches and water, the water park at the hotel, the pools, everything about the hotel that you liked. thanks : )
Do they enforce the drinking age in Turks and Caicos? We are going on a family trip and in Aruba you can drink if your 15 or even look 15...no I.D is asked for...Does the same apply for Turks and Caicos...Anybody been there? (We're staying at beaches, they have lots of swim up bars)
Is Turks and Caicos very commercialised? Or can you still get away from it all there and find secluded beaches and good snorkelling off the beach? Not interested in any horrible big hotels on the beach/condos/nightclubs etc but just somewhere with a few nice rustic restaurants/bars but generally quiet and relaxing.
Which place is better, Turks & Caicos, Dominican Republic, or Jamaica? For our honeymoon, we have never been outside of the South and I wanted some place special and unforgettable for our honeymoon. I've heard that all three of these places have beautiful beaches, but which has the better vacation reputation? I'm pretty sure I can find an all-inclusive resort with each location, just gathering intel for now. The most helpful answer will get 10+ points.
Has anyone ever been to Turks & Caicos? Is it nice? My family and I are going to Turks and Caicos at the end of August to beginning of September(for a week). We are staying at the Beaches resort there... I've heard it's nice but I want to hear your opinions and ratings on it.
What don't you get about Turks Caicos?? Canadians?? Come on get with it!! Turks Caicos belongs to Britian!! Not Canada, besides, I am here right now, and this island isn't really anthing great to write home about. The beaches are beautiful, but hey, the people are not the friendliest. They walk with a slouch and their feet slop around like they are really doing you a favor like serving your food really puts them out, very rude people. Unless they are from the states or canada or elsewhere..........the locals just don't have people skills. Im staying at the Ocean Club and they do not go out of their way to help. I say go to Aruba, they are so friendly and help in any way they can. I really think Turks is beautiful, but face it......if the locals can't have people skills then forget it. Driving is difficult unless you are use to driving on the left. Food is twice as much as other islands, including Aruba, sorry i do favor Aruba, my experience was fabulous..Imported food is extremely expensive. Very expensive here in Turks. I did speak with locals on the island of Turks and Caicos, the political question of weather or not Turks should be a canadian providence is bandied about and talked of much, this is NOT my opinion, true fact. Like I said, Turks is exquistatly beautiful, yet people skills are lacking and if you want the night life, its not there just rest and relaxation........I never realized how friendly the people in the good old United States truely are!!
Has anyone been to Turks and Caicos? Any hotel recommendations? Price is not a concern. As a matter of fact I want 1st class all the way. I would like a little bit of everything if it is possible, if not just a few things such as privacy, a great beach (of course) maybe a pool, some activities, great places to eat and a little night life. GREAT customer service is a must. Thanks in advance for your answers.
can i get marijuana in turks and caicos islands? i was recently in jamaica and on the beach on my resort men were walking up and down trying to sell marijuana (ganja), also in the airport. What i would like to know, is it as easy to get weed in turks and caicos islands as it is in jamaica. i only want answers from people who have actually been and i also know it is illegal.
turks and caicos weather HELP?!? Im going to turks and caicos on Wednesday and I'm freaking..apparently its supposed to be so sunny and dry but its calling for rain the WHOLE time im there, I'm just wondering if anyone who lives there knows like 30% chance, does it usually not rain? And if it does is it only for a little bit then you can get back on the beach? I think Im going to cry!!!!!!!

Our cruise ship will be stopping at Grand Turks in the Turks and Caicos Islands and I would like to know whether I can walk to a good beach from the pier; or should/must I book a tour or taxi to get to a beach? Beaches (The Resort). Anyone been there or have have suggestions? I'm trying to find a good vacation for my family and I looked at Beaches. Our family is just my parents and me (15-year old girl). Has anyone been to a Beaches resort? If so which one? Turks & Caicos or Jamaica, which Beach? How was it? Was it worth the price and did you have fun? Would you do it again? Were there any bad things about it? Any thing else you can think of would really help. Sandals is for couples. Beaches is for families.

Has anyone ever stayed at a Beaches Carribean resort? Which one is the nicest? newest? Negril? Turks and Caicos? Sandy Bay or Boscobel? I know it's not 5 star...but we're looking for a family friendly place where we'll be spending most of our time playing on the beach. We don't expect five star cuisine, just something casual my 1 yr old neice will eat. Basically just want to know which Beaches resort is the nicest, cleanest etc. Thanks!!
I need an all inclusive resort for my wedding!? We need to have all inclusive. Half of the people coming are from England, and the other half are from New York. It can't be Sandles, b/c there are families with kids. Also, I like Beaches in Turks and Caicos, but it is a 14 hour flight from the UK! I need an island with a direct flight from England (I am leaning toward Bahamas, but would be open to any other islands with a direct flight and all inclusive! ) Thanks! Oh and any experience with a wedding at these resorts would be much appreciated!
Do I need a passport to travel to the following locations? Our family is going on a cruise in September for my second to oldest sister's wedding. She's getting married on the cruise and the reception is on the beach in San Juan. Question, do I need a passport to get into the following places: 1. San Juan, Puerto Rico 2. St. Thomas / St. John 3. Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Please help because I dont have one and I dont want to pay $200 just to get an expedited one. Thanks! I am a US Citizen
North Caicos or Provodenciales? Thinking of Turks and Caicos in July for a quite holiday with a baby just to relax and swim/snorkel on or very near a great beach. Not looking for crowds/nightlife either and I'm a bit worried that Grace Bay is a bit commercialized. Also, are mosquitoes a big problem then?
What do you think about this? If you have ever been to Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos, do you think that it is more of a resort for families with younger children? Would a family with teenagers have fun there? Or would it be a little weird if it is more directed at younger children?
Best place to snorkel off the beach in Caribbean? I am planning a trip to the Caribbean in April. Of Aruba, Turks and Caicos, Cayman, or other place, which is the best place that offers snorkeling WITHOUT joining a tour? I want to be able to just step to the beach and get in the water and snorkel my heart out.....any suggestions?? Thanks!

Looking for an Carribean beach vacation with kids? Hello, The wife and I have finally decided to go tropical. Other than our wonderful honeymoon (Hawaii) which was 8 years ago, we've never been anywhere tropical. We have three daughters (6 years, 4 years and 1 year) and we had heard about all-inclusive kid-friendly packages in places like Jamaica, Turks/Caicos, etc. The amount of information out there is over-whelming and we aren't sure where to start. What we are looking for: 1. A place where there are camps/activities for the kids (all ages listed above) where we can pick and choose when to 'dump them off' and when to keep them with us for the day. 2. Beaches that are family friendly ... no crazy riptides/waves, not loaded with lots of oiled up single people, not over-crowded. 3. Good amount of food/drink options! (i.e. not a place with very limited food options) 4. Somewhat affordable? Willing to spend 5K (give or take) for a week Looking to go sometime between late January and May? Sooner may be better :) Thanks in Advance!
Booking through website or travel agent?? My family is looking at going to the "Beaches" resort in Turks and Caicos next year. On their website, you can book your reservation along w/ airfare. We are definitely NOT seasoned travelers, and was wondering if we would be better off going through an agent?? Would prices be higher/comparible?? Any info or advice you can share would be much appreciated.. ~Also, has anyone been to this location or have heard any reviews??...thanks!!
I need a good, fun, girly book for the beach? Hi I am going on vacation to Turks & Caicos in a few days and I am looking for a great fun book to read while I am there. I am 19 years old and a girl. I have already read Gossip Girl, Odd Girl Out, & some Sarah Dessen books. I like 'girly' books, but not too young. I like some books that involve at least some lust and/or sex and fun, young (but not too young) characters. Young adult books, i guess ! Lol, thank you.
Where is the best tropical vacation spot for 10 days in July? My boyfriend and I live in San Francisco and would like to plan a tropical, relaxing vacation in July. We want to go somewhere amazing w/big amazing beds, great beaches, good food, and fantastic pools and spa. We really need a break from work and the grind!! We have discussed Costa Rica, Mexico and Turks and Caicos...and can't come to a conclusion - we are also wary of the rainy season in Costa Rica.....Any suggestions???
Oceanfront Resort on Ambergris Caye, Belize? Thanks to Stella 39, we've narrowed down our vacation search to Turks and Caicos and Belize. Can you guys suggest a resort that has snorkeling right off the beach in Ambergris Caye? We are ok with up to $500/night. Thanks!
would you rather...? have a popsicle or icecream? go skiing in colorado or be a beach bum in turks and caicos? stay up late or sleep in? have summer year round or winter? eat a salty snack or a sweet one?
Can you suggest of any family resorts outside of the U.S? My husband and I want to go on vacation on Feb. 07 with our son, who will be 23 months then. I have already looked into Sandals Beaches and found it to be great. I really like the Turks & Caicos resort but it's the most expensive of all the Beaches Resort. So I would like to compare compare with others but I don't know any other resorts that are similar. Thanks! Oops, I forgot to add that I want to look only into All Inclusive Resorts.
Destination Wedding? I have looked at Hawaii and Turks & Caicos as possible destination places for my wedding. My fiancee and i might even consider getting married alone with no family or friends...very private. Any beach location ideas (North/South America) that have wedding packages at affordable prices?
Caribbean with 8 month old? Where is a nice, safe place to go with an 8-month old baby...just want to relax on the beach etc. Went to Bahamas last year and it was great but would like to try somewhere new....is Turks and Caicos appropriate? Not looking for any nightlife, big hotels on beach etc etc.
caribbean family vacation to.......? My family of six (17),(19),(14),(21) and my parents all would love to go on a carribean family vacation around the first week of August. Unfortunetly we have yet to find a place to stay. Jamaica seems to sketchy and risky and Bahamas seems touristy, Barbados too expensive, Turks and Caicos not enough thing..... We are looking for a very peaceful, lay and tan on the beach all day kinda of place. But we would also like to be able to find things to do at nighttime and have a few nice attractions in the daytime. The place needs to be clean, friendly and very safe Does anyone have any ideas where, (what part ) of the country would be best to stay in. Any suggestions? Thankss xox
Pregnancy travel questions-Is all inclusive worth it, what is the best preg month to travel, where did you go? My husband said we could go to Hawaii when I got pregnant because when we were there for our honeymoon, we saw a TON of pregnant women. Now I am pregnant and I am ready to plan a trip. I am only 6 and 1/2 weeks so I am probably going to go in August-early Sept. I think Sept for less of a hurricane threat. I am re-thinking Hawaii because I am on the East coast of the US and that is a LONG flight. I want to go to the Caribbean. I have been to Aruba, Bahamas, Dominican Repub, Puerto Rico. I'd like to try something new. St John, USVI's, Turks and Caicos, etc. sound cool. All I want to do is lay on the beach & eat! So my questions are: Have you been pregnant and gone all inclusive? Is it worth it because we can't drink and I am sure that is a lot of the cost they factor into the all inclusive price. What locations do you recommend/have you been while pregnant? Curacao has a low hurricane threat-have you been there and do you like it? I hear it is identical to Aruba
We don't expect five star cuisine, just something casual my 1 yr old neice will eat (chicken fingers and macaroni and cheese). Basically just want to know which Beaches resort is the nicest, cleanest etc. We're looking into Beaches b/c unlike some "all inclusives" it really does seem to include everything, like alcohol for the adults, tips, airport transfers, nanny service and water activities...that's really appealing to us since we don't want to pay a lot extra for those things. Thanks!!!
Destination Wedding? I have looked at Hawaii and Turks & Caicos as possible destination places for my wedding. My fiancee and i might even consider getting married alone with no family or friends...very private. Any beach location ideas (North/South America) that have wedding packages at affordable prices?
