What's the province/region of Bondi Beach, Australia? I think that it might be NSW, but just want to make sure. By the way Bondi Beach is in Sydney.
Which is a better beach in Australia, Bondi Beach or Coogee Beach? I am leaving for Sydney, Australia on the 19th, and my father and I wanted to stay at a nice hotel on the beach front. I am unable to find anything that is actually on the beach. Everything I find says it is a mile or two away, or that it is across the street from the beach. Does anyone know of names of hotels that are located on the beach? Also, we were more pushing towards staying on Bondi Beach, but which is a nicer beach, Bondi Beach or Coogee Beach??
Has anyone stayed at the Swiss Hotel on Bondi Beach in Australia? What did you think of it? Were the rooms nice and worth the price? Is it worth paying extra for an ocean view room? Any other tips about the area and things to do or see would also be appreciated!
Would you agree that Margate beach with it's fantastic looking women is better than Bondi beach in Australia? the beaches down on the French Riviera and even beaches in California? Surely there is not one anywhere in the world that is as good as Margate?

Is Bondi Beach part of Sydney Australia? Well, I know that there is "The City of Sydney" and there are many towns in the "Sydney Metropolitan Area" So would Bondi Beach be considered a district of Sydney, like The Bronx and Manhatthan in New York City, or would it be a completely different town?

BONDI BEACH, SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA.? Because more than 40,000 visitors visit Bondi Beach on a typical summer weekend, what would that cause for the residents ? please help (:
What's with Bondi Beach in Australia? I watch "Baywatch" on the National Geographic Channel quite a bit..it's well done and those lifeguards at Bondi have to be among the world's best, if not THE best.........but, uh.....is this beach for real? Last episode, 3 spinal injuries from the surf tossing people on their heads. A figure was quoted a few shows back of close to 200 near-drowning rescues in a day. (not EVERY day of course) I could go on and on....body injuries, near drownings, undertow, currents, high waves. There's enough danger on this beach to allow a continuous weekly program of the lifeguards in action. My question: Have there been any (many?) fatalities at Bondi? ......and if so, are these "near misses" impressing any responsible party in the local community government? I know the Aussies are pretty tough lads, but, if this program is to be anywhere near believable (and National Geographic is usually pretty factual) seems to me they're really pushing their luck.
I,m trying to get in touch with Susan Kamminga who originally lived around Bondi Beach in Australia,? She came to Holland in the early eighties and worked in a casino on the Grote Markt in Groningen. Eventually she went back to Aussie but moved to New Zealand as a sales rep. , she was a relative of the Estate Agents Kamminga, here in Holland. We all used to meet in a pub called "The Papegaai" in the "Ebbingestraat" in Groningen, She can call me on tel . no. 0610860741 in Holland. The name is Paddy.
Holmes!!! Should every team visit BONDI BEACH and play beach volleyball before playing against Australia ? Orale vato! It worked for India. All players said it helped them a lot. So, do visit BONDI BEACH and play volleyball holmes and you will win against Australia Cricket is funny holmes! Orale vato! Viva la Raza!
Where is the best beach in Australia? Hey Aussies, in your opinion, which of your beaches is the greatest? And by that, I mean anything that you define as greatest from which is the cleanest, which has the best place to surf, which one has the hottest crowd, or perhaps which one is the most relaxing. The one I hear mentioned the most is Bondi beach. I was just curious as to what you thought. Thanks!
Why should people visit Bondi Beach? Well I have to make a travel brochure as a assignment for humanities and this is what I got so far for Why people should visit Bondi Beach. Throughout the beaches in Australia, Bondi is the most visited beach out there. Bondi is also well known all around the world for the one kilometre long, sandy beach as well as the surf. It is a popular tourist attraction, so in summer the beach is filled with thousands of people. The beach is patrolled by professional lifeguards who would be there at the sign of danger and make sure swimmers stay between the yellow and red flags. Your visit at Bondi would feel safe at all times. Not only that but there are cafes and restaurants nearby, so you could enjoy a swim and head out to eat somewhere close by. There are also accommodations nearby so you could have a comfortable stay with a great ocean view. Bondi is located in Sydney, New South Wales on the south east coast… Now I don't even know what to write any suggestions on how to fix and improve this? :D
Going to Bondi Beach..lifeguards, can u read this? Hi there. Im going to Bondi Beach in Australia in early November with my family. Im 14 years old and had open-heart surgery in January. My scar is pretty much noticeable. Im going to be wearing a bikini, but I don't want peopke staring at my scar. How do I NOT bring attention to it? Plus, the heat does really get to me and I am under medication and my Dr. said that the meds can make me faint. So my question goes out to anyone that lives in Australia that goes to Bondi Frequently or a lifeguard that works at Bondi, what is the best possible way to keep cool while at the beach? My Dr. said not to take much heat cuz i could faint. i also have a pacemaker cus I have atrial fibrillation(A-fib). The heat an bring up an episode of A-fib. I usually feel something weird in my heart before the episode, so should I just goto the lifeguard tower, with parents?
Which is a better place to live Bondi beach or Woollahra? I will being going to work in Australia for 2 months and I have never been there before. What was Indian team doing at BONDI BEACH holmes? How did it help towin the Perth match holmes ? Orale vato! Hakuna Matata! I am very very sure holmes that visiting BONDI BEACH is the reason why India did it otherwise we all know holmes that winning at Perth was impossible for them. They played beach bolleyball at BONDI BEACH and that helped them becasue holmes you know that mood was not great in Indian camp after Sydney fiasco. I think the visit to BONDI BEACH helped them mentally a lot holmes. They enjoyed there a lot so they became happy hgolmes, they became happy. What you think holmes? What the did at BONDI BEACH ? And don't you think that every team should visit BONDI BEACH before playing a test match in Australia? Viva La Raza!!!!
What are my chances of becoming a lifeguard at Bondi Beach? Hi there! I'm interested in becoming a lifeguard or marine biologist....i would like to go to Australia for college (thinking about James cook University) And depending on how things go i might want to become a lifeguard instead of a marine biologist (maybe at bondi beach, maybe another beach) Im a very good swimmer; i've been swimming since i was two years old and i am on two swim teams (one for my school, one for a club team) Im a surfer, and i just got my scuba diving license. So i guess you could say im like a fish haha. Anyways, I had never really thought about becoming a lifeguard until the past couple weeks, since i started watching a show called Bondi Rescue on youtube (i dont live in australia; i live in California, but i really like australia it just seems like the perfect place for me; great beaches, great marine life/various animals, and here in california everyone is obsessed with looks and celebrities and what not...and it seems like people in australia dont really think like that; you can tell me if im wrong haha). I read that you have to have various types of certifications in order to become a lifeguard at bondi beach, or other beaches, which i could accomplish..but im only 15, and if i do get all the certifications and move to australia when im like 18 or 19, do you think i would have a good chance of becoming a lifeguard (at Bondi or any other beach)? Also, im a girl, which, i know only one girl is a lifeguard at bondi, so does that affect my chances as well? One more thing; if you have time, and youre in the mood to answer a lot of questions, i have a couple other questions about Australia; but you dont have to answer these if you dont want to... 1. do you generally refer to the fall season as 'fall' or 'autumn'? 2. About how long would it take someone to go from Townsville, Australia to Sydney, Australia...(hours, minutes, etc)? Please provide as much info as possible about the question/ any other info about australia. Thank you for reading this, and thanks so much to everyone who answers! :)

Why are the English such condescending morans when they visit Australia? I almost punched out this Pom at Bondi Beach today, because he had the nerve to abuse me for halling a cab, which disrupted his jay walking with his Pommy family. Seriously, do you people ever think, I may have let it slip untill I heard his pathetic Pommy accent. I hate them, because they are pretentious wankers who we could punch out in a momemt, pathetic really.

How frequent are Shark attacks & sightings in America, compared to Australia? Just wondering if US beaches are often closed due to Shark attacks or Shark sightings, we have a pretty high shark population in Australian waters, recently a Navy Diver was attacked in Sydney Harbour & lost a leg & arm, a Tourist was attacked while surving at Bondi Beach & it seems every year someone is attacked in Western Australian waters or in Queensland waters by a Great White. I don't think its as bad here as it in off Cape Town, South Africa, but what about the USA?

Is there anyone who can get me information from February, 1938 in Austalia? I am looking for some archived information from the "freak wave" which hit Bondi Beach near Sydney, Australia on February 6, 1938. It became known as Black Sunday. I know that hundreds were swept out to sea and rescued by life savers. But 5 of those swept out died. What were their names? I can't seem to find any archived articles from the local newspaper there back in 1938. Thanks

Where is a good place to live in Australia? I currently live in Sydney, Australia And when I move out I don't want to live too far away from home. I like the beach and even though it's far away I was considering moving to the Gold Coast or Port Maquarie or something. Or maybe living close to Bondi or Bronte beach? I used to live in Queensland, but found it far to boring, so moved back to Sydney! Anyone relate to that ? Don't get me wrong, I love Qld, apart from State of Origin time! You have some of the best beaches in the world up there and a really laid back lifestyle and exceptionally good value compared to living in Sydney. However even with one of the worlds best beaches - Mooloolabah, I still missed Sydney and Bondi Beach ! Your thoughts ? PS. Happy Australia Day Long Weekend!

Why do so many English & Irish want to immigrate to Australia ? I can't really blame them as they have ruined their own cities, which now resemble more India & Pakistan ! They benefit with much stronger exchange rates and live in our best beach side suburbs, like Bondi and Cogee, just tan up a bit will you, the reflection is painful to watch ! Well atleast you can swim "a little", unlike all the Asian tourist ! Just remember, "we grew here, you flew here" locals Rule ! Thanks for taking this "tongue in cheek", we're really not racist at all, we have a witty sense of humour, we love you guys coming here !

Where should I travel around Australia.. And WHY? I'm currently living in Gold Coast, Australia until July 1st becuase I'm studying abroad. I came here with the intention of traveling all over Australia and maybe Fiji and New Zealand.. but now i'm asking myself, what's the point?? I'm going to Sydney in a couple weeks because i've always wanted to checkout the opera house, bondi beach, etc.. but besides that, I just don't see the point. Here in Gold Coast, we have really nice beaches, so many great nightclubs, cool shopping, I'm never bored here. I LOVE THE GOLD COAST!! So anyway, why would I want to travel anywhere else? What could I find somewhere else in Australia that I can't find right here in Gold Coast? For example, why should I visit Melbourne? Fiji? Newcastle?.. if you can think of a convincing reason i'll probably go, I just want the motivation in my mind to know I'm traveling for another reason then to just check out another beach or another nightclub. Thanks!!!

Christian Holy Visions, or signs? Recently i learned of the story of my Nan having a holy vision of the virgin mother Mary, Mary came to my Nan when she was upset crying about her recently passed mother. I've also heard of a story from my mates dad, where he was going to work trying to catch a bus, and this poor women asked him for some money, but he only had a big bill on her, thinking if he should get change, or just give her the bill.. well turns out he gave her the bill she then thanked him and said "since you saved mylife i'll save yours" to busy to react he left running to the bus, turned out he missed it dealing with this women, he then went home to tell his boss that he missed the bus and won't be going to work, turns out his boss heard about that his bus actually crashed and everyone died who was on it, he then explained this to a Preist with his boss and his then mueslm boss converted as the preist beleved it was Mary mother of God, Strangly these 2 storys both happend in Egypt also what about the story? of Mary appearing at Bondi Beach in Australia? What are your thoughts, or do you have any storys?

Can anyone recommend some nice places to see in Australia? I'm going to visit my friend in Sydney for 15-20 days, and we're both college girls looking for some sun and fun. We've decided to hang around Sydney (Bondi Beach and such), and then go to Melbourne, maybe check out the Ulruru rock. If you had an itinerary like mine, how would you go about it? Would you drive to Melbourne, or fly there? What would you do in Sydney? Do you think going to Ayer's Rock is worth the time and money? By the way, my budget is around 2000-3500 AUS dollars, though I don't know if this is being practical or not. Your input would be greatly appreciated (and probably followed!)! Thanks! We like shopping, maybe do some crazy things (on the safe side), watch the sunset, sort of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants kind of stuff, fyi.
Poms, why do you keep sending your back packers to Australia to be lost in the bush? We don't mind them & usually they are OK for a laugh about how inept they usually are at Cricket, they tend to have a better sense of humour than Americans, but really they often do the most stupid things, than wonder why it all whent wrong? Like trecking through the Blue Mountains, without a radio, mobile phone, maps or compass? Not alerting anyone as to where you were going? Only an idiot would do that on their own. So many times we see it here, from the hundreds that qare pulled from the Surf at Bondi Beach each year, because they can't bloody well swim, to the idiots that get themselves lost in the bush, let alone the imbociles i met who planned to drive from Sydney to Ayers Rock (Uluru) over the weekend. Common sense if you come here please, its expensive saving your asses! Ok mate, some of your women are quite hot, how about just sending them over instead? We'll look after them, they are less aggressive then the Brazilian backpackers we get here as well....
Do Americans actually TRY to sound like idiots? Or are they just less educated? No offence, but Americans realy amuse me, they not only have a ridiculous accent, sound like idiots, but they have to be loud, rude, obnoxious, self centred.......why? They seem to mispronounciate words & phrases and also make up a lot of street or gutter talk. Even here in Australia, at places like Bondi Beach we have to tolerate them, why? why? why? If I have to hear the word 'AWESOME' one more time i'm going to head butt these American fools next to me! No, seriously one of the idiot American women just said '....look how much tanner I was'.....than attempted to correct herself by saying "....more tanner" hahaha......... a Nation full of imbociles. Amazing, I can deciphere what it is your all trying to say, yet you are actually proving my point, you can't even see it yet! "Man i dont know who you think you is" CLASSIC!
English to German translation.? Please translate this to german for me, i will award best answer too:):) thanks! In Australia, you can go snorkling and see the enironment. This is environmentfriendly but you have to drive there with your car. In Australia, you can go to Bondi Beach and go swimming. Remember to put your rubbish in the bin and to wear sunscreen.

Australian people-please answer. And UK peeps also? Well. I was just reading some things. Btw, im not planning on moving down under. I just think its annoying when people from Australia keep banging on about how AMAZING Australia is, and how cr***y the UK is. Well, you might not have even been there. I agree, the weather is kind of rubbish. But other than that-the UK is beautiful in lots of places, and yes the roads are small big why should they be any bigger? Its our own country, please dont tell us what to do! Also, there are loads of pompous Australians(no offence) working in London, and also on beaches all around the UK. They're all banging on about how much better Australia is, and how they worked in Bondi Beach or something but (tragically) had to move to this AWFUL country called the UK. Some parts of the UK are horrible in rough places. But who can say that the Australian outback is a nice place to be? I would like your opinions. Thanks.

Racism against Indians in Melbourne? The shameful racism in Melbourne highlights the racist undercurrent in Australian society. Couple of years ago it was in Sydney's Bondi Beach with the Lebanese and Middle-Eastern. In my opinion, some white Australians are not racists, but the large part of Aussies are, whether they admit it or not. I believe that this portion of Aussies are the degenerates that came here as convicts some few hundred years ago. They stompped on the local abroginals and beat them into an alcohol fuelled stupour thats still going on to today. The whole structure of society here is geared towards supporting racism in this country. Just look at how the police treat the abroginals. I have seen them treat Asian Indians and Chinese in a similar way all around Australia. You'd never see them treat whiteman with such contempt as they do the Asians. Just try calling the police on your mobile to report a racist attack or abuse or threat. The moment they think its a racist attack, the police will choose not to respond or take your details down. The reason is because they don't want racism reports to be reflected in their performance statistics. So Asians will have to bear the intollerance in silence, because even the police is no use to you. The way to make the racism stop is to vote with your wallet. You see, to the white man, nothing else matters other than money, and that is how the Indians should seize the advantage and punish the whiteman. Tell all your firiends and relatives not to come to Australia for studies, but take their money elsewhere to other places where it would be appreciated. Write that up in blogs, community newspapers, anywhere in India where future student can be influenced. It is a battle for the mind. I hope that our Chinese and Middle-Eastern friends would do the same, because what happens to the Indians also happens to you. When enough people are scared off from coming to study here in Australia, perhaps the government will wake up take some positive action. First, they need to purge the racist police force all round Australia of its racist officers and then take the fight to the racist white trash that are perpatuating the racist attaks. Perhaps then, they would also increase the penalties against racism. Sol Trujillo, the recently ex CEO of Telstra, was correct in his observation that Australia is a racist and backward country. If Asians want to get have a career here, then they can expect to be doing all the donkey work in the company, whilst the white fella, who is often less educated and certainly less experienced, will take all the credit. The management in many of the companies in Australia are run like the KKK clans, by racist white fellas. Here is a challenge for you. Just look arund the ethnic make up of the board of some of Australia's companies. You will find that it is difficult to find Asians installed there, and if there are Asians, then its because there is Asian money propping the person on the board. Contrast this with companies in the US and UK, you will find it very different over there. Here the perception is that the white man is the only capable person to manage and run organizations. The proof, however, is in the pudding. See Sol's comments. Again, Asians can grow companies faster, more efficiently and more productively than white people can. This fact is proven with Asia's phenomenol growth rate. What has taken the West hundreds of years to achieve, takes the Asians a couple of decades. On this score, as a shareholder, one should be asking why are the Asians not dominating the board of corporate Australia? Perhaps its time for a change. Australia is so eager to portray to the world that it is a dynamic multi-cultural country. But just look at the main commercial tv channels (with the exception of ABC and SBS). Most, if not all, the presenters are white, blue-eyed people who are put there to reinforce the white supremacy of this country. Even when the media portrays Indians, Chinese or other ethinic groups, its done in a negative light. If this is multi-culturalism, then they can shove high up their white provibial creek. The white fella should understand that Asians are not like the Abroginals who they can trifile with. We have economic power and the future of this country depends on Asia. Racism would be a valuable strategic negotiating tool for governments and companies in Asia to squeeze value from Australian businesses, just the Australian does with its insistence on human rights with other country. But again Australia's human rights record is probably worse than that in China or India or even Zimbabwe. Just take a trip into the bush of Australia and see how the Abrogines live. Many communities are blighted with alcohol and substance abuse, all perpatuatedd by the white fella. I have been to some of the poorests slums in South Asia and into the abroginal communities here in Australia, and I can say that no matter how poor peo
For those who like to come to Bali, especially Australians. Why? This doesn't mean that I don't like you to come here. On the contrary, I am proud of my place of being center of tourism and I really appreciate you all for coming here. I just wonder what are you really looking for here? I mean, I've been in Sydney Australia once, it was a great place, clean, the weather is good, friendly people, sexy girls too (if that is one of your reasons coming here) and it has great beaches too like Bondi Beach (if I'm not wrong). So what are you looking for? Yes, I notice that, not just in Bali but in every place as long as it's in Indonesia, things are cheap here. Hotels, foods, transportations, souvenirs, services etc. But no branded goods (e.g Gucci Bags, YSL perfume) those are still the same. But about NZers or the Australians being arrogant here, frankly I never heard or read that kind of news in the newspapers or TV. Instead, every time I meet them, like in Legian or Kuta Beach, they are so friendly and polite, and so are the other tourists. I think if they are like what you said, boorish or rude or annoying, it just happens in a bar or pub, sort of like that and mostly in the night time. And if it so, I guess it's a common thing for people that were too excited (especially when they were under the influence of alcohol or drugs) and I guess it must have been settled right at that moment.

Why do so many English & Irish move to Australia? Ok, we generally don't mind you lot & yes we helped to a large extent to save you from Hitler, well before the Americans set foot in Europe or Africa in WWII and what was our repayment? Not that you would i good time return our Troops to defend their homeland against the Japanese, but rather you swarm our beaches and hotels like 'blow-ins' from some strange, distant, cold, pale skinned place! Why do you come in such large numbers and lengthen the ques at the bars waiting for a drink? Ok some of your women can compete with ours, but really England isn't known for producing too many Miss Universe winners are they! Funnily enough the Irish & Scottish we don't mind, they can at least keep up and most often always return home - broke hahaha.....So why must you all come? Is it that bad in England? Are you lot all 'Bondi dreaming'? FINALLY, WHY DO THE ENGLISH USE THE WORD 'MATE'? Thats globally known as an Aussie term....
Thanks!!!
