Do people still go to the beaches a lot in the winter in australia? Im from the U.S. and am thinking about taking a trip to australia this summer(but it will be winter in australia, as the seasons are opposite). I would like to hang out at bondi for a couple days because iv'e heard its a happenin' place but don't know if there will actually be people on it at that time. If not, are there other beaches in australia that might be fun during their winter?
Aren't there laws regarding nudity on beaches in Australia? Today I went to the beach and saw about six topless women. Two of the aforementioned women were bottomless as well and I also saw a couple of nude men. The beach isn't a very popular one and so the proportion of people that were nude was actually about 50%. What exactly are the nudity laws in Australia? By the way, I am talking about ordinary beaches, not beaches specifically designated for nudists. And also, will the police respond if I call them because I see a nude person?

what central coast (nsw, australia) beaches allow fires? my friend and i want to have a bonfire on a beach for our joint 16th birthday party, and we live on the central coast of new south wales, in australia, but both our local beaches don't allow fires or sleeping on the beach. does anyone know any in the area (we don't mind travelling a little, maybe south to sydney and north to newcastle) that allow that kind of thing? or where u wouldnt get caught if you did break a rule? preferably the not breaking rules one. thanks, xox is it really illegal to have a party on the beach? i'm willing to compromise on fire, if i have to, but i'd assumed i'd be allowed to just be at the beach and possibly all sleep there after... that complicates things if it is. thanks
Are we allowed to collect driftwood from beaches and rivers in Australia? ? I know that some seashell collecting requires a permit therefore was wondering about driftwood... Truth Teller reckons only if you are indiginous but there seems to be a lot of people who use it for craft or art??? I am not a school student therefore no one to advise me.... I think that I will contact National Parks and wildlife to set the record straight. Some driftwood is "natural" but some isn't. Would you consider man-made "drift-wood" to be part of the eco-system??? And i don't know many aboriginal people who would think that a piece of wood was their ancestor; bone maybe.... Wood would be more totem or weapon etc.

What would happen to a child found on a beach in Australia? This is purely hypothetical but I was wondering if anyone could give me a detailed description of the process which would follow after finding a child as young as four on a beach in Queensland, Australia. If this child had no memory of what had happened to him, how he came to be where he was or WHO HE IS or where he lived, what would be done from there? Sorry, I'm not actually planning to leave a child, I am in fact writing a book and thought I'd ask here first and then do some actual research later on.

Where is the best beach in Australia? Hey Aussies, in your opinion, which of your beaches is the greatest? And by that, I mean anything that you define as greatest from which is the cleanest, which has the best place to surf, which one has the hottest crowd, or perhaps which one is the most relaxing. The one I hear mentioned the most is Bondi beach. I was just curious as to what you thought. Thanks!

Beaches near Sydney Australia? Hey. My family and I want to go to the beach this long weekend and we're looking for one close, to as 4 hours or less away. We've considered Jervis Bay but that is a long way away just to go to the beach. If you've been to a good one that is just outside of Sydney and has good swimming conditions could you tell us the name? thanks.
How far from the beach is considered close in Australia? Lots of Australians say that in general, they are a nation of beach-goers, most likely due to the weather allowing it the majoirty of the time. However, for the purpose of advertising or buying a house in Australia, how far away would be considered coastal, or at least, near the cost enough to put the cost up? Is 1-2 hours drive from the coast considered near, or is that far enough away for it to not be coastal? Thanks
On public beaches in Australia,? Do women go topless there? Do the majority of the women go topless on the beach, or just a few? Would a man get in trouble for looking at them?
What do you guys think of the UK and Australia? To me, they're about the same crap. They have pretty much the same accents, but here are some distinctions: 1. UK: gloomy weather, depressed people, pale, ugly teeth, queeny 2. Australia: great weather, beautiful beaches, crikey dingo talk everywhere by everyone, kangaroos, steve irwin what about you guys?
